INTRODUCING PRODUCER EXTRAORDINAIRE AUTOMATON

Automaton is producer/beat maker based out of Denver, CO. Automaton started making beats 10 years ago in a garage in San Antonio, TX. His dedication took him to Minneapolis, MN where he grew beyond just being a beat maker and began producing artists in the studio. As one of the founding members of Death Ray Scientific, Automaton worked with some of the most talented up and comers in the Minnesota hip hop scene. He also had a hand in throwing some of the most banging shows the now defunct Dinkytowner Cafe (R.I.P.) saw in it's latter years with DRS' monthly show, The Switch.

Automaton is also one half of Strange Matter, a production duo which recently produced Kristoff Krane's "Picking Flowers Next to Roadkill." With his partner in grime, Bhante, Strange Matter has made tracks with Slug, Eyedea, and P.O.S.

With Kristoff Krane, Strange Matter was featured on Guitar Center's Fresh Cuts vol. 5. "Don't Mean a Thing ft. P.O.S." had over 50,000 copies handed out free at Guitar Centers nationwide.

Automaton moved to the mountains to once again hone his skill. Living the life of a beatmaking monk in exile, Aut focuses on getting back to what made him happy... Being an artist who isn't bound by one classification or genre of music.
