"Graham's debut solo effort, Live Drums lies somewhere near the boundaries of the Instrumental Hip Hop genre.  As the title suggests, each song on the album is shaped by Graham’s drum set performances - which are inventive and creatively recorded. The dark, contrasting layers of synthetic and sampled sounds make the record an engaging listen. Compositionally, this album is influenced by DJ Shadow, Portishead and The Gaslamp Killer, among others."

INTRODUCING PRODUCER EXTRAORDINAIRE AUTOMATON

Automaton is producer/beat maker based out of Denver, CO. Automaton started making beats 10 years ago in a garage in San Antonio, TX. His dedication took him to Minneapolis, MN where he grew beyond just being a beat maker and began producing artists in the studio. As one of the founding members of Death Ray Scientific, Automaton worked with some of the most talented up and comers in the Minnesota hip hop scene. He also had a hand in throwing some of the most banging shows the now defunct Dinkytowner Cafe (R.I.P.) saw in it's latter years with DRS' monthly show, The Switch.

Automaton is also one half of Strange Matter, a production duo which recently produced Kristoff Krane's "Picking Flowers Next to Roadkill." With his partner in grime, Bhante, Strange Matter has made tracks with Slug, Eyedea, and P.O.S.

With Kristoff Krane, Strange Matter was featured on Guitar Center's Fresh Cuts vol. 5. "Don't Mean a Thing ft. P.O.S." had over 50,000 copies handed out free at Guitar Centers nationwide.

Automaton moved to the mountains to once again hone his skill. Living the life of a beatmaking monk in exile, Aut focuses on getting back to what made him happy... Being an artist who isn't bound by one classification or genre of music.

Soundset Festival is happening in a couple days and I've got my record buying funds in order. I'm without a doubt prepared to buy everything I don't already have provided the price is good. I'm hoping for the Soundset sales...booya. I'm finna be rocking the No Team In I logo somewhere on me, so if you see it, say what's up. That is if anyone actually reads this. I'll be posting pictures and hopefully get some good words from artists.
